چکیده
The low-pressure reverse osmosis (LPRO) process is a recent development of (RO) technology for the reduction in RO energy consumption and operation cost. goal this study was to investigate performance LPRO processes treatment reuse effluent discharged from brewery upflow anaerobic sludge blanket bioreactors (UASB). In study, three different commercially available membranes were tested evaluate water quality that can be achieved under operational pretreatment conditions. It found filtration considerably affected by conditions selection processes. ultrafiltration (UF) control pressure essential mitigating membrane fouling, which could caused Ca2+ associated precipitates organic gelation, UASB effluent. Water analyses showed an integrated + UF achieve characterized concentrations 10.4–12.5 mg/L chemical oxygen demand (COD), 1.8–2.1 total nitrogen (TN), 1.3–1.8 ammonia (NH3-N) 0.8–1.2 phosphorus (TP). further improved adding granular activated carbon (GAC) adsorption between processes, reduced concentration COD 7–10 those TN, TP, NH3-N below 1 mg/L. For UF, GAC (retention time 4 hrs), LPRO, respectively, overall removal efficiencies 89.6–93.7%, 94.5–96.7%, 99.3–99.1% 99.3–99.4%; TN 73.0–78.2%, 89.2–97.2%, 97.1–98.2% 94.3–99.7%; TP 29.3–46.2%, 77.0–95.4%, 95.9–97.6z% 98.0–98.3%. This both are effective treating wastewater toward standards set United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA). Therefore, results would help answer whether treat meet requirements standards.

The filtration characteristics of simulated dyeing effluents containing Acid Orange 7, sodium sulfate, and a pH buffer made of acetic acid and sodium acetate is described using a commercially available nanofiltration membrane. The original membrane filtration properties were characterized with deionized water to provide a baseline of membrane performance. At high volumetric concentration of the...

متن کاملUpflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (uasb) Reactor in Wastewater Treatment
Under anaerobic conditions, organic pollutants in wastewater are degraded by microbes producing methane and carbon dioxide. The degradation process is effective compared to the more conventional aerobic processes and produces only 5-10% of sludge. This saves considerably on cost associated with the sludge disposal. Among anaerobic technologies, the most popular ones is the upflow anaerobic slud...
متن کاملPerformance Evaluation of Hybrid Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket Reactor in the Treatment of Dairy Waste Water
Dairy industries have shown tremendous growth in size and number in most countries of the world. These industries discharge wastewater which is characterized by high chemical oxygen demand, biological oxygen demand, nutrients, and organic and inorganic contents. Such wastewaters, if discharged without proper treatment, severely pollute receiving water bodies. For treatment of dairy waste water,...
متن کاملModelling of an Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket reactor
A model describing both physical and biological processes in Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) reactors was developed. The main objective of the modelling was to take into account the transient growth of the microorganisms from the start-up of the reactor until a steady state is reached. In addition, the model considers the degradation of the substrate and its reaction with the biomass, wh...
